RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE PROPOSED
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH CARDINAL
CONSTRUCTION TO SELL AND CONVEY FOR $1 . 00, PLUS
COSTS, PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON SAN MARNAN
DRIVE WESTERLY OF TOWER PARK TO BUILD A 30, 000
SQUARE FOOT BUILDING AS PHASE 1 OF THE MULTI-
YEAR GMAC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AS MARCH 22 ,
1999, AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 22nd day of March, 1999, for the purpose
of considering and acting upon a proposed development agreement
with Cardinal Construction to sell and convey for $1 . 00, plus
costs, property generally located on San Marnan Drive westerly of
Tower Park to build a 30, 000 square foot building as Phase 1 of
the multi-year GMAC Development Project, with construction value
estimated at $2 , 500, 000 . 00, with minimum assessment of
$2 , 200, 000 . 00 until January 1, 2010, together with industrial tax
rebates for five years with future expansion of an additional
75, 000 square feet, and legally described as follows :
A part of the NW of the NE 1/ and the SW 1,1
of the NE 1/ of Section 9-88-13, Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as
follows :
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the NW
1,1 of the NE 1/ of said Section 9; thence S
00°26' 14" E along the East line of the NW of
the NE 1,1 of said Section 9 a distance of
463 . 53 feet to the point of beginning; thence
S 00°26' 14" E along the East line of the NW
of the NE and the East line of the SW 1/ of
the NE of said Section 9 a distance of
896. 98 feet to the Northerly R-O-W of U. S.
Highway 20; thence N 89°34' ll" W along said
Northerly R-O-W a distance of 780 . 00 feet;
thence N 00°26' 14" W a distance of 530 . 00
feet; thence S 89°34' ll" E a distance of
750 . 00 feet; thence N 00°26' 14" W a distance
of 367 . 24 feet; thence S 89°03' 48" E a
distance of 30. 01 feet to the point of
beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa.
The East line of the NW 11 of the NE - of
Section 9-88-13, Waterloo, Black Hawk County,
Iowa is assumed to bear S 00°26' 14" E.
Area equals 424, 367 SF (9. 742 Acres)
