RESOLUTION NO. 1999-236
RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCE TO SECTION
574, OF ORDINANCE NO. 3842, AS AMENDED,
TRUCK ORDINANCE (TRUCK EMBARGO) ON
VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, has adopted an Ordinance embargoing truck traffic on
Ridgeway Avenue from West 4th Street to West 9th Street;
Ansborough Avenue from Ridgeway Avenue to San Marnan Drive;
Rainbow Drive from Greenhill Road to Letsch Road, known as
Section 574, of Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic
Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, ASPRO, Inc. and Subsidiaries has requested a
variance to said Ordinance for purpose of haul routes as part
of the F.Y. 1998 and 1999 Street Reconstruction Programs,
Contract Nos . 564 and 594, from April 20, 1999 through
November 19, 1999, with said ASPRO, Inc. and Subsidiaries
required to make requests on a daily, as-needed basis, with a
24-hour advance notice to the Engineering and Police
Departments and to provide a list and description of those
trucks using the above streets .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a variance to
Section 574, of Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic
Ordinance, be granted as requested.
