_ RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF DAVE STUEVE
= FOR VARIANCE TO SECTION 5-2-6 OF THE WATERLOO
CODE OF ORDINANCES, WHICH PROHIBITS
~ = DISCHARGING OF FIREARMS AND DISCHARGING AND
_ A. POSSESSING AIR RIFLES AND SIMILAR DEVICES
:i WITHIN THE CITY.
WHEREAS, Dave Stueve is proposing to open an archery
IRU-0i"ss to be located at 700 Ansborough Avenue in the City of
Waterloo, and
� ' WHEREAS, said proposed business would have an indoor,
total-ly enclosed practice range for archers, and
WHEREAS, said proposed business will be open year round, and
WHEREAS, said operations would be in violation of Section 5-
-Lf�-- of the Waterloo Code of Ordinances, which Prohibits
!W;Charging of Firearms and Discharging and Possessing Air Rifles
_ansa -Similar Devices within the City, and
WHEREAS, Dave Stueve has made formal application for a
varnce to Section 5-2-6 of the Waterloo Code of Ordinances,
which Prohibits Discharging of Firearms and Discharging and
Possessing Air Rifles and Similar Devices within the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Dave Stueve for a variance to
Section 5-2-6 of the Waterloo Code of Ordinances, which Prohibits
Discharging of Firearms and Discharging and Possessing Air Rifles
and Similar Devices within the City, to operate a year round
indoor, totally enclosed practice range for archers, be and the
same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of November, 2006 .
