RESOLUTION NO. 1999-286
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO WATERLOO
MEMORIAL BOARD TO HOLD ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY
PARADE ON MAY 31, 1999 .
WHEREAS, Waterloo Memorial Board has made written application
to the City Council asking that they be authorized and permitted
to hold annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 31, 1999, and
WHEREAS, the parade will start at 10 : 30 a.m. on Commercial
Street between 5th and 6th Streets, west to Park Avenue, north to
Mulberry Street, east to East 5th Street, and south to Memorial
Hall, and
WHEREAS, the Police Chief has coordinated the request with
the police, fire-rescue, street and traffic operations departments
of the city.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA that permission is hereby granted to
Waterloo Memorial Board to hold annual Memorial Day Parade on May
31, 1999 beginning at 10 : 30 a.m. on Commercial Street between 5th
and 6th Streets, west to Park Avenue, north to Mulberry Street,
east to East 5th Street, and south to Memorial Hall .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May, 1999.
