RESOLUTION NO. 1999-411 RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE VACATION, SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF THE WESTERN THIRTEEN FEET OF ASHLAND AVENUE GENERALLY LOCATED BETWEEN BREES STREET AND THORSON AVENUE TO JAMES AND MARILYN GRANDON FOR $926. 90 AS JULY 6, 1999, AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS : Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo, Iowa at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 6th day of July, 1999, for the purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to vacate, sell and convey the western thirteen feet of Ashland Avenue generally located between Brees Street and Thorson Avenue to James and Marilyn Grandon, and legally described as follows : That part of Ashland Avenue right-of-way as platted in Christie Addition that lies thirteen (13) feet East of and adjacent to Block 3 of said Addition and North of the North line of Brees Street and South of the South line of Thorson Avenue (formally platted as Whitney Avenue) , with the city' s retention of a permanent utility easement over, under and above the above described property, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; for $926. 90, plus costs . Section 2 . That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of June, 1999. ATTEST: John .
