RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF FIRE FIGHTERS
LOCAL #66 TO HOLD ANNUAL MDA BOOT DRIVE AT
THE INTERSECTIONS OF ANSBOROUGH AND DOWNING
AVENUES, SAN MARNAN DRIVE AND LA PORTE ROAD,
KIMBALL AND RIDGEWAY AVENUES AND FRANKLIN
STREET AND MULLAN AVENUE FROM 10 : 00 A.M. TO
2 : 00 P.M. ON SEPTEMBER 4 - 6, 1999 AND
HAMMOND AND RIDGEWAY AVENUES FROM 2 : 00 P.M.
TO 5 : 00 P.M. ON SEPTEMBER 3, 1999 .
WHEREAS, it has been the tradition of Waterloo Firefighters
Local #66 to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) with an
annual boot drive, and
WHEREAS, Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Boot Drive will
be held on September 4 - 6, 1999 from 10 : 00 a.m. to 2 : 00 p.m. at
the intersections of Ansborough and Downing Avenues, San Marnan
Drive and La Porte Road, Kimball and Ridgeway Avenues and Franklin
Street and Mullan Avenue, and on September 3, 1999 from 2 : 00 p.m.
to 5 : 00 p.m. on Hammond and Ridgeway Avenues .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that Fire Fighters Local #66 request to
hold annual Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Boot Drive at
the intersections of Ansborough and Downing Avenues, San Marnan
Drive and La Porte Road, Kimball and Ridgeway Avenues and Franklin
Street and Mullan Avenue from 10 : 00 a.m. to 2 : 00 p.m. on September
4 - 6, 1999 and Hammond and Ridgeway Avenues from 2 : 00 p.m. to
5 : 00 p.m. on September 3 , 1999, be and the same is hereby
approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of August, 1999 .
