ti RESOLUTION SUPPORTING WHITMAN POINT IN THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa has been informed by
s pitman Point Limited Partnership that a Low-Income Housing Tax
Credit Application will be filed with the Iowa Finance Authority
Tor the development of affordable rental housing to be located on
N Falammang Drive, Waterloo, Iowa, with the legal description as
c
mellows:
Lot 5 of Fortune Addition and Lots 8-9, 17-22, the West 51
feet of Lot 16 and the West 62 feet of Lot 23 of Richland
Park Addition in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, this housing project will contain up to a total of
�D units, and
~ WHEREAS, the units will be targeted to older persons, and
WHEREAS, the project will be new construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
C3TY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that we support and approve the
development of the aforesaid housing in our community, subject to
city ordinances and the building permit process. This resolution
is effective until December 31, 2008 . In the event that any of
the characteristics mentioned above should change prior to
issuance of a building permit, this resolution is null and void.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa and approved by the Mayor, this 13th day of
November 2006.
