RESOLUTION NO. 1999-679
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE "S-1" SHOPPING
CENTER COMMERCIAL DISTRICT SITE PLAN
AMENDMENT FOR EXPANSION OF THE EXISTING WAL-
MART STORE FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT
1334 FLAMMANG DRIVE.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a "S-1" Shopping Center Commercial
District site plan amendment for expansion of the existing Wal-
Mart Store, generally located at 1334 Flammang Drive and legally
described as follow:
Part of the Southwest - of the Southwest 141 of Section
2, Township 88 North, Range 13 West of the Fifth
Principal Meridian in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and
all of Lot 1 of Crossroads Plat No. 3, Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa as recorded in Plat Book W at Page
85. More specifically described as follows:
Commencing at a found Aluminum Monument at the
Southwest corner of said Section 2; thence N 89°47' 36" E
along the South line of said section for 1, 118 . 07 feet,
thence N 00°05' 00" E 33. 00 feet to the point of
beginning. Thence N 00°05' 00" E 100 . 00 feet to a found
Iron Pin (LS#8633) ; thence continue N 00°05' 00" E,
434 . 70 feet (434 . 9 feet record) to a found Iron Pin,
thence N 48°35' 46" E 266. 99 feet (269. 9 feet record) to
a found Iron Pin (LS#7811) ; thence continue N 48°35' 46"
E 364 . 68 feet; thence S 41°27' 15" E 17 . 5 feet; thence
along a curve having a radius of 394 . 81 feet and a
length of 334 . 52 feet; thence N 90°00' 00" E 205. 89 feet;
thence S 00°05' 00" W 802 . 70 feet; thence S 89°48' 49" W,
986. 78 feet to the point of beginning and containing
777, 932 . 34 square feet or 17 . 8589 acres, more or less,
all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 4, 1999, at
7 : 00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the "S-1" Shopping Center Commercial
District site plan amendment for expansion of the existing Wal-
Mart Store for property generally located at 1334 Flammang Drive,
be and the same is hereby approved.
