RESOLUTION NO. 1999-685
RESOLUTION GRANTING EXTENSION OF VARIANCE TO
SECTION 574, OF ORDINANCE NO. 3842, AS
AMENDED, TRUCK ORDINANCE (TRUCK EMBARGO) ON
VARIOUS STREETS IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has
adopted an Ordinance embargoing truck traffic on Rainbow Drive,
known as Section 574, of Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic
Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, Magee Construction Company on behalf of Northland
Products Company has requested an extension of variance to said
Ordinance on Rainbow Drive from old Forrester Avenue to the west
for the purpose of installing a new water main for fire protection
on their property, from October 4, 1999 through October 18, 1999,
with said Magee Construction Company and/or Northland Products
Company required to make requests on a daily, as-needed basis,
with a 24-hour advance notice to the Engineering and Police
Departments and to provide a list and description of trucks using
the above streets .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that an extension of variance to
Section 574, of Ordinance No. 3842, as amended, Traffic Ordinance,
be granted as requested.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of October, 1999 .
