RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON THE APPLICATION OF
LAVERN AND ELEANOR DROSTE TO REZONE FROM "R-
2" ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO
"C-2/C-Z" CONDITIONAL ZONING PROPERTY
GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF THE CORNER OF
FLETCHER AND UNIVERSITY AVENUES, AS NOVEMBER
1, 1999, AT 7 : 00 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS
IN CITY HALL AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 7 : 00 p.m. on the 1st day of November, 1999, for
the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of
Lavern and Eleanor Droste to rezone from "R-2" One and Two Family
Residence District to "C-2/C-Z" Conditional Zoning property
generally located southeast of the corner of Fletcher and
University Avenues and legally described as follows:
That part of Lots Twenty (20) and Twenty-one (21) ,
Block Thirty-four (34) , Hagerman Place, Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, described as follows :
Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot Twenty-
one (21) ; thence S 8 9°4 7' 50" W Ten (10) feet along the
South line of said Lot Twenty-one (21) ; thence N
57°57' 35" W Twenty-five (25) feet; thence N 44°20' 11" W
Twenty-five (25) feet; thence N 28°19' 08" W Twenty-five
(25) feet; thence N 18°42' 12" W Twenty-five (25) feet;
thence N 00°56' 31" W Twenty (20) feet; thence N
21°21' 06" E Twenty (20) feet; thence N 64°16' 25" E
Twenty-two and Eighty-five Hundredths (22 . 85) feet to
the North line of said Lot Twenty (20) , said point
being One (1) foot West of the Northeast corner of said
Lot Twenty (20) ; thence S 89°39' 00" E Forty-one (41)
feet along the North line of said Lots Twenty (20) and
Twenty-one (21) to the Northeast corner of Lot Twenty-
one (21) ; thence S 00°00' 00" W One Hundred Twenty-five
and Nine Hundredths (125. 09) feet to the point of
beginning. (The East line of Lot 21 is assumed to bear
S 00°00' 00" W for this description) , all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.

RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACTS, BONDS AND
CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE OF PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC. OF REINBECK, IOWA, FOR THE
F.Y. 2000 WEST SAN MARNAN DRIVE DITCH
GRADING, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, BEING
CONTRACT NO. 615 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the contract of Peterson Contractors, Inc. of Reinbeck, Iowa,
for the F.Y. 2000 West San Marnan Drive Ditch Grading, Contract
No. 615, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, signed on behalf of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, by the Mayor and the City Clerk as of the
llth day of October, 1999, together with the accompanying bond for
the faithful performance of said contract signed by the Seaboard
Company of Baltimore, Maryland, as surety thereon, be, and the
same are hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of October, 1999 .
