RESOLUTION NO. 2012-346
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO TO HOLD CINCO DE MAYO PARADE AND
FESTIVAL ON MAY 5, 2012.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo has requested that they be
allowed to hold a Cinco de Mayo Parade and Festival on May 5,
2012, together with the approval of the Director of Safety
Services, and
WHEREAS, said parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and ending by
1:00 p.m., with the route to start at Mulberry and 4th Streets,
east along Mulberry Street, south along 5th Street, west along
Jefferson Street, and north along 4th Street, to include street
closures and barricade needs for the festival.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo to hold
a Cinco de Mayo Parade and Festival on May 5, 2012, with the
parade beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending by 1:00 p.m., with the
route to start at Mulberry and 4th Streets, east along Mulberry
Street, south along 5th Street, west along Jefferson Street, and
north along 4th Street, to include street closures and barricade
needs for the festival, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of April, 2012.
