RESOLUTION NO. 2012-385
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF WATERLOO
COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE/BLACK HAWK CHILDREN'S
THEATRE TO HOLD 5K RUN/WALK EVENT ON JUNE 9,
2012.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Community Playhouse/Black Hawk Children's
Theatre has requested that they be allowed to hold a 5K run/walk
event on June 9, 2012, together with the approval of the Director
of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the route
to start at Young Arena, Commercial Street, westbound along River
Road, River Road for one mile, turn around, and run back past
Young Arena along Commercial Street, right on W. 2nd Street, left
on Washington Street, Left on W. 4th Street and finish at Lincoln
Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Waterloo Community
Playhouse/Black Hawk Children's Theatre to hold a 5K run/walk
event on June 9, 2012 beginning at 7:30 a.m., with the route to
start at Young Arena, Commercial Street, westbound along River
Road, River Road for one mile, turn around, and run back past
Young Arena along Commercial Street, right on W. 2nd Street, left
on Washington Street, Left on W. 4th Street and finish at Lincoln
Park, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 2012.
