RESOLUTION NO. 2012-386
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF CEDAR VALLEY
CYCLISTS TO HOLD RIDE OF SILENCE BIKE RIDE
EVENT ON MAY 16, 2012 FROM 6:30 P.M. TO 7:30
P.M.
WHEREAS, the Cedar Valley Cyclists has requested that they
be allowed to hold the "Ride of Silence event on May 16, 2012,
together with the approval of the Director of Safety Services,
and
WHEREAS, said event will start in downtown Cedar Falls at
6:30 p.m. entering Waterloo on Rainbow Drive and exiting Waterloo
on University Avenue, to include use of barricades and police
officers to assist at primary intersections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Cedar Valley Cyclists to
hold the Ride of Silence Bike Ride event on May 16, 2012,
starting in downtown Cedar Falls at 6:30 p.m. entering Waterloo
on Rainbow Drive and exiting Waterloo on University Avenue, to
include the use of barricades and police officers to assist at
primary intersections, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 2012.
