RESOLUTION NO. 2012-389
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF GRACE REFORMED
CHURCH FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094,
NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Grace Reformed Church is requesting a variance to
the Noise Ordinance on June 10, 2012 and August 12, 2012 from
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in conjunction with the `Sunday in the
Park" event, to be held at Galloway Park, including a DJ and the
use of a PA system, together with recommendation and approval of
the Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Grace Reformed Church has made formal
application for a variance effective May 7, 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Grace Reformed Church for a
variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on June 10, 2012
and August 12, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in conjunction
with the "Sunday in the Park" event, to be held at Galloway Park,
including a DJ and the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of May, 2012.
