RESOLUTION NO. 2012-432
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF THE WATERLOO
CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU FOR THE TRACTOR
CRUISE U.S.A. CRUISE EVENT, ON MAY 24 AND 25,
2012, WITH TRACTOR DRIVERS ENTERING AND EXITING
FROM THE 5 SULLIVAN BROTHERS CONVENTION CENTER.
WHEREAS, The Waterloo Convention and Visitors Bureau made a
written application to the City Council asking that they be
authorized and permitted to hold the Tractor Cruise U.S.A. event
on May 24-25, 2012, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 9:30 a.m., with 50
tractors exiting the 5 Sullivan Brothers Convention Center each
morning and returning in the early afternoon, with limited
traffic assistance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the The Waterloo Convention
and Visitors Bureau to hold the Tractor Cruise U.S.A. event on
May 24-25, 2012, with 50 tractors exiting the 5 Sullivan Brothers
Convention Center each morning and returning in the early
afternoon is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of May 2012.
