RESOLUTION NO. 2012-433
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF EAST HIGH
SCHOOL TO HOLD THE EAST HIGH ANNUAL ACADEMY
BBQ EVENT ON MAY 16, 2012 AND THE WOMEN OF
TOMORROW CELEBRATIONS EVEWN ON MAY 18, 2012.
WHEREAS, East High School has requested that they be allowed
to hold an East High Annual Academy BBQ event on May 16, 2012
from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the Women of Tomorrow
Celebrations event on May 18, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
together with the approval of the Director of Safety Services,
and
WHEREAS, the events will be held at High and Vine Streets,
including the closing of High Street from Lime Street to Vine
Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of East High School to hold an
East High Annual Academy BBQ event on May 16, 2012 from 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the Women of Tomorrow Celebrations event on
May 18, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at High and Vine
Streets, including the closing of High Street from Lime Street to
Vine Street, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of May, 2012.
