RE: Recyclable Waste Stream Processing Contract
Dear Sirs:
We at Corkery Inc. are pleased to offer the following proposal for accepting and processing the recycling waste
stream the City of Waterloo collects in the curbside program.
We will receive and process the recycling waste delivered to Corkery Inc. by the City of Waterloo for a charge in
US dollars at the contractors scale on site of$26.95 per ton.
Please note a change in the original request for proposal of April 2003 under Section II,paragraph E. Corkery,Inc.
is no longer in operation on Saturdays from 7:OOam to I:00pm, due to lack of use and a reduction in the related
operating costs. However, exceptions will be made to allow Saturday morning usage if prior arrangements are made
before 12pm Friday between the City of Waterloo and Corkery Inc.
Corkery Inc will monitor all loads for contamination, and communicate with the City of Waterloo immediately when
excessive contamination occurs.
If load contamination remains constant at an average of no more than 4%, Corkery Inc will offer this service and
rate for a period of two years from date of commencement, subject to review and renewal upon both parties consent.
However,if contamination is greater than 4%on a continual basis,a new tonnage rate mutually agreed upon by both
parties will be put into effect.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter. We look forward to a continued relationship with the City of
Waterloo. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at(319)236-1344.
Sincerely,
Blane Benham
