RESOLUTION NO. 2012-556 RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF THE WATERLOO COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS, FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094. WHEREAS, The Waterloo Commission On Human Rights is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on June 14, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Summer Harmony Day event to be held at Lincoln Park, including a DJ and the use of a PA system, and WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and WHEREAS, said Waterloo Commission on Human Rights made formal application for a variance May 30, 2012, together with recommendation of approval of the Director of Safety Services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Waterloo Commission on Human Rights for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on June 14, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Summer Harmony Day event, to be held at Lincoln Park, including a DJ and the use of a PA system, be and the same is hereby granted.
