RESOLUTION NO. 2012-557
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF NEW HOPE
MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, FOR VARIANCE TO
NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094.
WHEREAS, The New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is
requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on June 24, 2012 and
August 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in conjunction with
the Partnership & Peace in the Neighborhood event to be held in
the Church parking lot, including live music and the use of a PA
system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said New Hope Missionary Baptist Church made formal
application for a variance May 30, 2012, together with
recommendation of approval of the Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the New Hope Missionary
Baptist Church, for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance, on June 30, 2012 and August 26, 2012 from 10:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Partnership & Peace in the
Neighborhood event, to be held in the Church parking lot,
including live music and the use of a PA system, be and the same
is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this llth day of June, 2012.
