RESOLUTION NO. 2012-559
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF CHASSIDI MARTIN
FOR VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO.
3094.
WHEREAS, Chassidi Martin is requesting a variance to the
Noise Ordinance as follows:
June 15, 2012-Gates Park
July 28, 2012-Lafayette Park
August 4, 2012-West 2nd Street
August 19, 2012-At Clay Street between Almond/Walnut Streets
September 8, 2012-MiriaM Court on Knox Drive
September 29, 2012-At Cottage Street between Linn/N. Barclay Streets
from 12:00 P.m. to 4:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Summer
Family Festival/Block Party events, including live music and the
use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Noise
Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094, and
WHEREAS, said Chassidi Martin submitted formal application
for a variance June 4, 2012, together with recommendation of
approval of the Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Chassidi Martin for a
variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on the above
stated dates from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in conjunction with
the Summer Family Festival/Block Party events, including live
music and the use of a PA system, be and the same is hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this llth day of June, 2012.
