RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE
VACATION, SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF PORTIONS OF
AN ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK 14 OF HAYES
ADDITION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1.00, AS JUNE 25,
2012, AT 5:30 P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL
CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA, AND INSTRUCTING THE
CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 25th day of June, 2012, for the purpose
of considering and acting upon a request to vacate, sell and
convey a 33 foot by 74 foot portion of alley located in Block 14
of Hayes Addition bounded by Commercial and West 18th Streets, to
R & M Metals, and legally described as follows:
THAT PART OF THE ALLEY AS PLATTED IN BLOCK 14 OF HAYES
ADDITION LYING SOUTHEASTERLY OF A SOUTHWESTERLY
EXTENSION OF A LINE DRAWN PARALLEL AND 46 FEET
SOUTHEAST OF THE NORTHWESTERLY LINE OF LOT 2 IN SAID
BLOCK 14, CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
in the amount of $1.00, plus costs.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this llth day of June 2012.
