RESOLUTION NO. 2012-729
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF TIFFANY AN
THOMAS NELSO FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO.
3094, NOISE ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Tiffany and Thomas Nelson are requesting a variance
to the Noise Ordinance on October 1, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00
p.m., in conjunction with Not Looking Back Going Forward event,
to be held in Lincoln Park, including a band and the use of a PA
system, together with recommendation and approval of the Director
of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Tiffany and Thomas Nelson have made formal
application for a variance effective October 1, 2012 from 8:00
a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Tiffany and Thomas Nelson for
a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on October 1,
2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Not
Looking Back Going Forward event, to be held in Lincoln Park,
including a band and the use of a PA system, be and the same is
hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of July, 2012.
