RESOLUTION NO. 2012-745
RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO K
CUNNINGHAM CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. OF CEDAR
FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $405,145.60.00,
AND APPROVING CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE F.Y.
2012 BYRNES PARK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS,
PHASES I & II, CONTRACT NO. 822, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bond and Certificate of Insurance with K
Cunningham Construction Co., Inc. of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in the
amount of $405,145.60.00, in conjunction with the F.Y. 2012
Byrnes Park Drainage Improvements, Phases I & II, Contract No.
822, described in the plans and specifications heretofore adopted
by this Council for said project in Resolution No. 2012-716,
after public hearing on July 16, 2012 on published notice
required by law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being the
lowest bid received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of July, 2012.
