THE CONTRACT SHALL BE CHANGED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Total tear off of all insulation down to the metal deck and replace with R-30 polyisocyanurate tapered
insulation, add $46,029.00
2. Difference of bid allowance (960 board feet)versus replaced to date (2,413 board feet)at$1.00 per board
foot, add $1,453.00
3. Seven core cuts (2'x 2') performed on Monday, October 4, 2021 by Blackhawk Roofing, add $879.00
JUSTIFICATION:
1. On Thursday, September 30, 2021, Blackhawk Roofing had already replaced 2,413 board feet of wet
insulation. The bid allowance was 960 board feet. It was determined that Travis Nichols, City of Waterloo,
would perform multiple core cuts with Chance Dill, Blackhawk Roofing, on Monday, October 4, 2021. All
seven core cuts taken were wet. It was decided that total tear off of the insulation down to the metal deck
was necessary. Blackhawk Roofing has the insulation in stock at their warehouse. See attached Change
Order Request from Blackhawk Roofing.
