RESOLUTION NO. 2021-636 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING TWO QUIT CLAIM DEEDS FROM THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF 0.15 ACRES AND 0.40 ACRES OF RIGHT-OF-WAY, BETTER SUITED TO OWNERSHIP BY THE CITY OF WATERLOO, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the conveyance of 0.15 acres and 0.40 acres of right-of-way, and acceptance of quit claim deeds from the Iowa Depaitiuent of Transportation, for property generally at the southeast corner of Ansborough and Maynard Avenues and at the southwest corner of Highway 63 and West Hanover (across from Dollar Tree), and legally described as follows: Deed 1: A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IN PART OF LOT "A" AND PART OF THE WEST ELEVEN FEET (11') OF LOT "B" OF HARRY HUMMEL'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO IN SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 89 NORTH, RANGE 13 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA AS SHOWN ON PLAT OF SURVEY, EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED HERETO AND BY REFERENCE MADE A PART HEREOF. BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID LOT TWELVE (12); THENCE N 89° 18'21"E 108.19 FEET ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID LOT 12; THENCE S 09°47' 12"E 56.84 FEET TO THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID Resolution 2021-636 Page 2 LOT 12; THENCE S 89° 18'21 "W 117.26 FEET ALONG SAID SOUTH LINE TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 12 AS PER ACQUISITION PLAT FOUND IN DOCUMENT 2010-00011198 IN THE BLACK HAWK COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE; THENCE N 00°36'02"W 56.13 FEET (55.93' RECORD) ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID LOT 12 TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. SAID PARCEL CONTAINS 6,327 SQUARE FEET. is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of September 2021.
