RESOLUTION NO. 2021-676
APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE REQUEST
FROM LINDSEY KLEIN ON BEHALF OF THE SOUTHDALE
NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
A HALLOWEEN PARTY TO BE HELD ON DAHLIA
BOULEVARD AND MARIGOLD DRIVE ON SATURDAY,
OCTOBER 23, 2021 FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 8:00 P.M.,
INCLUDING MUSIC AND THE USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Lindsey Klein on behalf of Southdale Neighborhood Association is
requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to
8:00 p.m., in conjunction with a Halloween party to be held on Dahlia Boulevard and Marigold
Drive, including music and the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Lindsey Klein on behalf of Southdale Neighborhood
Association, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m., in conjunction with a Halloween party to be held on Dahlia Boulevard and Marigold
Drive, including music and the use of a PA system, together with the recommendation of the
Director of Safety Services, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of October 2021.
