As you are auite 333 aware Ed only received one bid for moving his belongings from the Lafayette -4 Street address to his new home. Ed 'did contact several other moving Wath loo 3 903 companies, but they declined to bid. Ed has given me his handwritten notes showing when he contacted the other moving companies. On March 8, 2006, I Pho 3 311 talked to Ursula McClendon from the Kansas City HUD Regional office to determine if it was okay to go forward with only 1 bid. She indicated that I F r 91 should retain Ed's notes on the contacts he made and do a follow up with the same companies. I was able to contact and talk to someone from 3 different companies originally contacted by Ed Hedges. The 3 companies indicated they are not interested in bidding the move because they are either to busy, they don't do in-town moves or because of the size of the project. Consequently, I would recommend that the City move forward and award the Hedges move to Blue Line Moving and Storage. I have attached a copy of their fix e§ bid. Please note that they have indicated that this is an estimate of the cost and that the price could change. 31 r iNRCOG Housing Director ^Yl ,4rw i, M t .
