The Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, met in Special Session at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo,
Iowa, at 5:25 p.m., on Monday, January 3, 2022. Mayor Quentin Hart in the Chair. Roll Call: Boesen,Nichols,
Amos, Chiles, Grieder, Wilder, and Feuss,joined the meeting via Zoom.
Pledge of Allegiance: Jerome Amos, Ward 4 Council Member
City Clerk, Kelley Felchle, administered the Oath of Office to Mayor-Elect Quentin Hart.
160824 - Feuss/Boesen
that the Agenda, as proposed, for the Special Session on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 5:25 p.m., be
accepted and approved. Voice vote-Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
City Clerk, Kelley Felchle, administered the Oath of Office to Mayor-Elect Quentin Hart.
Mayor Hart administered the Oath of Office to re-elected 5th Ward Councilmember Ray Feuss.
Mayor Hart administered the Oath of Office to newly-elected At-Large Councilmember Rob Nichols.
Mayor Hart administered the Oath of Office to newly elected 3rd Ward Councilmember Nia Wilder.
Mayor Hart administered the Oath of Office to newly elected 1St Ward Councilmember John Chiles.

that the Oaths of Office of the Mayor and City Council Members be received and placed on file. Voice
vote-Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
160826 - Boesen/Amos
that Mayor Hart's recommendation of appointment of Ray Feuss, as Mayor Pro Tem, be received,
placed on file and approved. Voice vote-Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
160827 - Boesen/Amos
that Mayor Hart's recommendation of appointment of Pat Treloar as Chief of Fire Services, be
received,placed on file and approved. Voice vote-Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
160828 - Boesen/Amos
that Council Members' recommendation to appoint Kelley Felchle as City Clerk, be received, placed
on file and approved. Voice vote-Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
160829 - Boesen/Amos
that City Clerk, Kelley Felchle's, recommendation to appoint LeAnn Even as Deputy City Clerk, be
received,placed on file and approved. Voice vote-Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
160830 - Amos/Boesen
that Mayor Hart's recommendation of appointment of the following Council Standing Committees for
2022 - 2023 be received, placed on file and approved. Voice vote-Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
