RESOLUTION NO. 2022-028
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO YOUNG
PLUMBING & HEATING COMPANY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $54,900.00, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE WATERLOO CENTER OF THE
ARTS -YOUTH PAVILION PHASE I BOILER PROJECT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Young Plumbing & Heating Company of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in
the amount of $54,900.00, in conjunction with the Waterloo Center of the Arts -Youth Pavilion
Phase I Boiler Project, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Young Plumbing & Heating Company submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, in conjunction with the Waterloo Center of the Arts -Youth Pavilion
Phase I Boiler Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Young Plumbing & Heating Company, in the amount of $54,900.00, in
conjunction with the Waterloo Center of the Arts -Youth Pavilion Phase I Boiler Project, is
hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Young Plumbing &
Heating Company, in conjunction with the Waterloo Center of the Arts -Youth Pavilion
Phase I Boiler Project, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January 2022.
