RESOLUTION NO. 2022-029
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERS
CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION, OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN
THE AMOUNT OF $97,997.00, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2022 ANAEROBIC LAGOON
BLOWER BUILDING INTERIM REPAIRS, CONTACT NO.
1060, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Peters Construction, Corporation of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $97,997.00, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Anaerobic Lagoon Blower Building
Interim Repairs, Contact No. 1060, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Peters Construction, Corporation submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, in conjunction with the FY 2022 Anaerobic Lagoon Blower Building
Interim Repairs, Contact No. 1060.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Young Plumbing & Heating Company, in the amount of $97,997.00, in
conjunction with the FY 2022 Anaerobic Lagoon Blower Building Interim Repairs,
Contact No. 1060, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by FY 2022 Anaerobic
Lagoon Blower Building Interim Repairs, Contact No. 1060, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January 2022.
