HEARING IS TO DISCUSS AND MAKE
ANY NECESSARY AMENDMENTS TO
THE AMENDED AND RESTATED
DOWNTOWNWATERLOO RIVER -
FRONT URBAN RENEWAL. AND PIEDE-
VELOPME_NT FLAN
The Downtown Waterloo Riverfront Urban
Renewal and. Redevelopment. Plan area
is an area of slum and
economic development a
meaning of Iowa (
403.17(10);. Sucharea is appropriate for
commercial and industrial enterprises and
is eligibie for an urban renewal project
and otherwise meets all requisites under
the provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 403.
The rehabilitation, conservation. develop-
ment, redevelopment or a combination of
such activities, of such area is necessary
in the interest of the public health, safety
or welfare of the residents of the City of
Waterloo
The area proposed for amendment and
restatement is included in the Downtown
