AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE BY REPEALING
SUBSECTION ( 11) BURTON AVENUE OF SECTION 541, INCREASING
SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF
NEW SUBSECTIONS ( 11) BURTON AVENUE, ( 11a) BURTON AVENUE AND
( llb) BURTON AVENUE OF SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED LIMITS
IN CERTAIN AREAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
That Subsection ( 11) Burton Avenue of Section 541, Increasing
Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the Traffic Code of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby repealed in its entirety; that new
Subsections ( 11) Burton Avenue, ( 11a) Burton Avenue and ( 11b)
Burton Avenue of Section 541, Increasing Speed Limits in Certain
Areas, of the Traffic Code of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, are
hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
( 11 ) Burton Avenue--from North city limits
to 1500 feet north of Airline Highway 45 mph
( 11a) Burton Avenue--from 1500 feet north of
Airline Highway to Airline Highway 35 mph
( lib) Burton Avenue--from Airline Highway to
Midland Drive 45 mph
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, on the 16th day of November, 1987 , and approved by
the Mayor on the 18th day of November, 1987 .
