AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1988 TRAFFIC CODE BY REPEALING
SUBSECTIONS ( 46a) AND ( 47 ) IDAHO STREET OF SECTION 541,
INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS; AND BY ENACTING
IN LIEU THEREOF NEW SUBSECTIONS ( 46a) AND ( 47 ) IDAHO
STREET TO SECTION 541, INCREASING SPEED LIMITS IN
CERTAIN AREAS; AND ADDING SUBSECTIONS ( 92a) , ( 92b) AND
( 92c) TEXAS STREET TO SECTION 541 , INCREASING SPEED
LIMITS IN CERTAIN AREAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
That Subsections ( 46a) and ( 47 ) Idaho Street of Section 541 ,
Increasing Speed Limits in Certain Areas, of the 1988 Traffic
Code, are hereby repealed in their entirety; that new Subsections
( 46a) and ( 47 ) Idaho Street of Section 541 , Increasing Speed
Limits in Certain Areas, of the 1988 Traffic Code, are hereby
enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
( 46a) Idaho Street - from French Street to Prospect Avenue
25 mph
( 47 ) Idaho Street - from Prospect Avenue to Newell Street
35 mph
That Subsections ( 92a) , ( 92b) and ( 92c) Texas Street, are
hereby added to Section 541 , Increasing Speed Limits in Certain
Areas, of the 1988 Traffic Code, as follows:
( 92a) Texas Street - from San Marnan Drive to 2800 feet east
of San Marnan Drive 45 mph
( 92b) Texas Street - from 2800 feet east of San Marnan Drive
to 7300 feet east of San Marnan Drive
35 mph
( 92c) Texas Street - from 7300 feet east of San Marnan Drive
to Shaulis Road 45 mph

Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, on the 24th day of October, 1988, and approved by
the Mayor on the 26th day of October, 1988 .
