AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1988 TRAFFIC CODE BY ADDING
SUBSECTION ( 7 ) SOLID RED/FLASHING RED, TO SECTION 105 ,
TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL LEGEND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
That a new Subsection ( 7) Solid Red/Flashing Red is hereby
added to Section 105, Traffic-Control Signal Legend, of the 1988
Traffic Code, as follows:
SEC. 105. TRAFFIC-CONTROL SIGNAL LEGEND.
7 . Solid Red/Flashing Red.
Vehicular traffic facing a solid red signal shall stop before
entering the nearest crosswalk at an intersection or at such other
point as may be indicated by a clearly visible line, and shall
remain standing until the signal turns to flashing red. No turns
shall be permitted while the signal remains solid red.
Vehicular traffic facing a flashing red shall stop and
proceed in accordance with Subsection ( 6) above.
