Southwest Roof Replacement Project

1. Credit for not installing a new continuous metal cleat at approximately 350 feet of new metal coping cap,
deduct $1,312.00. See attached email.
2. Bid allowance adjustment: Remove and replace wood nailer, 200 board foot allowance at $3.00 per board
foot, allowance not used, deduct $600.00.
3. Bid allowance adjustment: Remove and replace plywood, 64 square foot allowance at $3.00 per square
foot, allowance not used, deduct $192.00.
4. Bid allowance adjustment: Remove and replace steel decking, 100 board foot allowance at $10.00 per
square foot, allowance not used, deduct $1,000.00.
5. Bid allowance adjustment: Wire brush, clean and prime paint surface rusted steel decking, 100 board foot
allowance at $3.50 per square foot, allowance not used, deduct $350.00.
JUSTIFICATION:
1. During the final inspection, it was noted that the continuous metal cleat was not replaced as specified,
since the existing cleat was in good condition and the fasteners used to attach the new membrane
penetrated through the metal cleat, adding additional fasteners to the attachment of the existing cleat. It
was requested that Blackhawk Roofing Company provide the above credit.
2. Price changes items 2 - 5 are adjustments for unused allowances that were included in the contract.
