AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 36, VEHICLES FOR HIRE, BY
REPEALING SUBSECTION (a) OF SECTION 36-7, SAE--LIABILITY
INS UPANCE REQUIRED, OF ARTICLE I , TAXICABS ; AND ENACTING IN
LIEU THEREOF HEW SUBSECTION (a) OF SECTION 36-7 , SAME--
LIABILITY INSURANCE REQUIRED, OF ARTICLE I , TAXICABS .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA :
That Subsection (a) of Section 36-7, Sanc—Liability Insurance
Required , of Article I , Taxicabs , of Chapter 36, Vehicles for Hire,
of the Code of ordinances of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby
repealed in its entirety; that new Subsection (a) of Section 36-7,
Same--Liability Insurance Required, of Article I , Taxicabs, of
Chapter 36 , Vehicles for Eire, of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Oaterloo, Iowa, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows :
Sec. 36-7. Same—Liability Insurance Required.
(a) No permit shall be issued or continued in operation unless
and until the owner of the taxicab shall have furnished to the city
clerk an insurance policy or certificate of insurance issued by an
insurance company licensed to do business in the State of Iowa,
providing limits of liability equal to or exceeding the minimum
limits for bodily injury and property damage as set by the State of
Iowa for a valid insurance policy.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 21 day of October,
1985, and approved by the Mayor this 23 day of October,
1985.
