ECTI 3-29. DTI'IN I TI ONS
As used in this Article, the following terms shall have the
meaninqs ascribed to them:

(5) Curb Line shall mean the line at the face of the curb
nearest to the street or roadway in the absence of a
carh, the curl- line shall be established by the City
ng,ineer.

(9) Tiarouee shall Tean a permanent roofed structure attached
to and supported by the building and projecting over
public property.
(10) :ionco±ustile fiaterial shall :lean any material which

thousand two hundred (1,2GO) degrees Fahrenheit during an
exposure of five (5) minutes, and which will not continue
to turn or 'low at that ta:perature, as specified in the
building code.

railing strips, latticing, cutouts or letters and
walkways which are attached to the sign structure.
(12) ;?Oleiern shall mean any sign supported wholly by a pole

building.
(13) PorLable Sign shall mean any si consisting of solid
materials, whether on a frame, chassis, or wheels, which
can be moved from one location to another.
(14) Projecting Sign shall mean any sign, other than a wall
sign, whic:b projects from and is supported by a wall of a
building or structure.
(15) Proiection shall mean the distance by which a sign
extends over public Property or beyond the building
line.
(16) Roof SiEl shall mean any sipn attached to roof fraring,
wails or columns of the building on which the entire
advertising display is above the roof level.
(17) Sign shall moan any medium, which is used or intended to
be used to attract attention to the subject matter for
information or advertising purposes.
(13) Sign Structure shall mean the supports, uprights, braces,
and frarevork of the sign.
(19) Temporary Sign shall mean any sign, banner, pennant,
Tiaance, or advertising display constructed of cloth,
canvas, light fabric, cardboard, or other like materials,
without frames, intended to he displayed for a limited
period of time only.
(2G) Sign shall Teen any sign attached to or erected
against trio wall of a building or structure, with the
exposed face of the sign in a plane parallel to the plane
of the wall.
