ORDINANCE NO. 3411
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE BY REPEALING SECTION 298,
ONE-1-OUR PARKING, AND 299, TIJO-HOUR PARKING, AND ENACTING IN
LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION 298, ORE-HOUR PARKING, AND 299,
TWO-HOUR PARKING.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of 14aterloo, Iowa:
That Section 298, One-hour Parking, and Section 299, Two-Hour
Parking, of the Traffic Code of the City of liaterloo, Iowa, are
hereby repealed in their entirety 7 that new Section 293, One-Hour
Parking, and Section 299, Two-flour Parking, of the Traffic Code of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, are hereby enacted in lieu thereof as
follows :
SEC. 29S. ONE-HOUR PARKING.
When signs are erected in each block, or portion thereof, giving
notice, no person shall park a vehicle for longer than one hour at
any time between the hours of and 6 : 00 P.M. within the
district and upon any of the streets or portions thereof designated
in Section 560 of this ordinance. The term "district" for the
purposes of this code section shall mean an area which is no less
than a two (2) block distance in any direction from where the vehicle
was originally parked.
SEC. 299 . TWO-HOUR PARKING.
When signs are erected in each block, or portion thereof, giving,
notice, no person shall park a vehicle for longer than two hours at
any time within the hours designated within the district and upon any
of the streets or portions thereof designated in Sections 561, 562,
and 5621 of this ordinance. The term "district" for the purposes of
this code section shall mean an area which is no less than a two (2)
block distance in any direction from where the vehicle was originally
parked.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 2S day of October,
1985, and approved by the Mayor this 30 day of October,
1985.
