COUNCIL WORK SESSION
January 22, 2009

Council Chambers
Members present: Mayor Hurley, Cole, Getty, Hart,.. Welper, Reggie Schmitt.
Members absent: Greenwood, Steve Schmitt.
Moved by Reggie Schmitt, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved.
Ayes: Five. Absent: Greenwood, Steve Schmitt. Motion carried.
Mayor Hurley reviewed items on the Standing Committee agendas for meetings scheduled for
Monday, January 26, 2009.
Mayor Hurley noted that a work session is scheduled for January 26, 2009 at 4:45 p.m. to discuss
the extensive list put together for the federal/state infrastructure stimulus package. Council
received an e-mail from the mayor with the list attached.
Mayor Hurley reviewed items on the council agenda for the meeting scheduled for Monday,
January 26, 2009 and the following items were discussed.
Councilperson Hart noted that there were three Jumpstart Small Business Assistance Program
contracts on the council agenda and asked for the dollar amount of funds left to spend and did we
meet the deadline. Mayor Hurley responded that as of last Friday there was about $35,000.00
remaining. Noel Anderson, Community Planning &`Development Director, explained that the
city has allocated the first set of funds right away within the deadline, and are working on the
second set of funds. Michelle Weidner, Chief Financial Officer, noted that the city has been held
up waiting for paperwork from the businesses.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie
Schmitt that the meeting be adjourned at 8:10 a.m. Ayes: Five. Absent: Greenwood, Steve
Schmitt. Motion carried.
