Lou Cutwright, Building Official/Maintenance Administrator, explained that the ADA
Compliance Commission is a nine -member commission, and we are appointing or reappointing
eight members. There are two members who are in their second term, but for continuity he is
recommending that they remain on the commission for an additional term. Mr. Cutwright noted
that they get very few applicants. The majority of the members must be people with disabilities
or directly affected by persons with a disabilities. About a year ago, he asked members of the
commission to let him know of any individuals who would be interested in serving. They sent
out ten applications and received two back, and those two are being appointed today.
