Mayor Pro Tem Reggie Schmitt called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.
Members present: Cole, Getty, Hart, Greenwood, Steve Schmitt, Welper, Reggie Schmitt.
Mayor Pro Tem Reggie Schmitt reviewed items on the Standing Committee agendas for
meetings scheduled for Monday, July 21, 2008.
Mayor Pro Tem Reggie Schmitt reviewed items on the Council agenda for Monday, July 21,
2008 and the following items were reviewed.
In response to a question from Councilperson Steve Schmitt, Police Chief Tom Jennings
reviewed the process for outdoor services areas.
Councilperson Getty asked that the motion to override Mayor Hurley's veto of Ordinance No.
4918 adopted on Monday, July 14, 2008 vacating approximately 150 feet of public sidewalk
generally located in the 800 block of Bayard Street be placed on Monday's council agenda. It
was reiterated that a vote of five council members is necessary to override Mayor's veto.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Welper, seconded by Steve Schmitt
that the meeting be adjourned at 8:19 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
