Members absent: Getty, Hart, Greenwood. Moved by Welper, seconded by Reggie Schmitt that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Four. Absent: Getty, Hart, Greenwood. Motion carried. Mayor Pro Tem Reggie Schmitt reviewed an amendment to the 2007 Waterloo Code of Ordinances to add a new section pertaining to Waste Hauler. The proposed ordinance includes the definition of a waste hauler, permit requirement, application process, waste loads, permit fees, and disposal fees. A waste hauler is defined as any person, firm or entity engaged in the collection, removal or transportation of liquid waste for the purpose of disposing at the Waste Management Services Wastewater treatment facilities. All applications for waste hauler permits must be submitted in writing to Waste Management Services along with $25 fee for each vehicle to be used by the applicant. Permits are valid for three years. The ordinance sets out the fees for disposing of solid waste at the disposal station. All invoices for loads hauled to the disposal station will be billed on the first of each month, with payment due by the first of the following month. Moved by Cole, seconded by Welper that an ordinance amending the 2007 Waterloo Code of Ordinances by adding a new section pertaining to Waste Hauler be approved. Ayes: Four. Absent: Getty, Hart, Greenwood. Motion carried. The proposed ordinance is on tonight's council agenda. With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Welper, seconded by Steve Schmitt that the meeting be adjourned at 4:50 p.m. Ayes: Four. Absent: Getty, Hart, Greenwood. Motion carried.
