Members present: Kincaid, Welper, Getty, Cole, Greenwood.
Members absent: Gunderson, Schmitt.
Moved by Kincaid, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Four. Absent: Gunderson, Schmitt, Greenwood. Motion carried.
Councilperson Cole reviewed items on the agendas for the Standing Committees scheduled for
Monday, March 19, 2007. Councilperson Cole noted that a council work session is scheduled to
discuss expansion of the CURA district. Don Temeyer, Community Planning & Development
Director, explained this expansion would include the area along Ansborough Avenue and
University Avenue and a little part of LaPorte Road.
Greenwood now present at 8:02 a.m.
Councilperson Cole reviewed items on the council agenda for Monday, March 19, 2007 and the
following items were discussed.
Don Temeyer, Community Planning & Development Director, reviewed the request of Arvin and
Dawn Ferch to purchase city -owned property generally located in the 600 block of West Donald
Street. This property was acquired by the city and the buildings were demolished. The Ferches
are planning to move a house from Heath Street onto this property.
Lou Cutwright, Building Official/Maintenance Administrator, reported that the frequency
reconfiguration agreement with Nextel adjusting the 800 MHz frequencies is for radios used by
Waste Management, Engineering, Parks, Street and Traffic Departments.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Greenwood
that the meeting be adjourned at 8:05 a.m. Ayes: Five. Absent: Gunderson, Schmitt. Motion
carried.
