Members present: Kincaid, Welper, Gunderson, Greenwood, Schmitt.
Members absent: Getty, Cole.
Moved by Kincaid, seconded by Greenwood that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Five. Absent: Getty, Cole. Motion carried.
Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt reviewed items on the Standing Committee agendas for meetings
scheduled for Monday, April 2, 2007.
Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt reviewed items on the council agenda for the council meeting scheduled
for Monday, April 2, 2007 and the following items were reviewed.
Paul Huting, Leisure Services Director, explained the modification agreement with Twins Sports
Group Inc. allowing the Waterloo Bucks Baseball Team to have year round offices at Riverfront
Stadium. Twins Sports Group Inc.'s lease on the building on Jefferson Street will be expiring.
This modification is for an additional $325.00 per month, and they will pay all utilities. The
existing lease is for two more baseball seasons. Mr. Huting reported that there are no immediate
plans for improvements to the parking lot, but he will talk with the Superintendent of Streets to
see if there is anything that can be done to improve the lot in the short term.
Rudy Jones, Community Development Director, reported that Aspro, Inc. will have
approximately 2.5 percent minority participation in the F.Y. 2007 Street Reconstruction
Program, Contract No. 718.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Gunderson, seconded by
Greenwood that the meeting be adjourned at 8:10 a.m. Ayes: Five. Absent: Getty, Cole.
Motion carried.
