COUNCIL WORK SESSION
August 6, 2007

Members present: Mayor Hurley, Kincaid, Welper, Gunderson, Greenwood, Getty, Cole,
Schmitt.
Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Seven. Motion carried.
Planning and Zoning staff discussed the amendment to the City of Waterloo Comprehensive
Plan. The Plan was adopted by council on February 3, 2003. The amendments will make
multiple changes to the Future Land Use Map. The proposed amendments are to correct areas
that are shown wrong or are not currently shown as anything. Other amendments are being
developed to change what an area is designated based on recent and expected development
treads.
Planning staff reviewed the current Future Land Use Map and the areas proposed to be changed.
On July 10, 2007, the Planning, Programming and Zoning Commission reviewed and
recommended approval of the amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. A public hearing on the
amendments will be held by the council on Monday, August 13, 2007.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Schmitt, seconded by Kincaid that
the meeting be adjourned at 5:03 p.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
