Members present: Mayor Hurley, Kincaid, Welper, Gunderson, Greenwood, Getty, Cole,
Schmitt.
Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes:
Seven. Motion carried.
Mayor Hurley reviewed items on the Standing Committee agendas for meetings scheduled for
Monday, August 13, 2007.
Mayor Hurley reviewed items on the council agenda for Monday, August 13, 2007, and the
following items were discussed.
Eric Thorson, City Engineer, reported that the completion of Division III of the 2007 Asphalt
Overlay Program, Contract No. 719, is just the Airport's section.
Eric Thorson, City Engineer, explained the Sidewalk Block Grant Repair Assessment Program —
Zone 7, Contract No. 735. Forty-nine properties qualified for Block Grant funding. The Block
Grant funds were divided up by squares, with deduction of $79.30 per square.
Mayor Hurley asked the City Clerk to put a resolution on the agenda for August 13, 2007 which
amends the Expenditure Authorization Policy to include the new amendment which will allow
expenditures up to $2,500.00 for mobile equipment repairs, stationary equipment repairs and
repairs to buildings without pre -authorization.
Councilperson Getty questioned if the Grout Museum has a beer license for the Tall Grass
Prairie Brewfest on September 22, 2007 at Veterans Memorial Hall. The City Clerk responded
that this event has been held at this location for the past several years, and the Grout Museum
does apply for the beer permit.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Cole that the
meeting be adjourned at 8:15 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
