COUNCIL WORK SESSION
October 18, 2007

Members present: Mayor Hurley, Kincaid, Welper, Gunderson, Getty, Cole, Schmitt.
Members absent: Greenwood.
Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Kincaid that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Six.
Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
Mayor Hurley reviewed items on the Standing Committee agendas for meetings scheduled for
Monday, October 22, 2007.
Mayor Hurley reviewed items on the council agenda for Monday, October 22, 2007 and the
following items were discussed.
Paul Huting, Leisure Services Director, explained that the bid received from Zamboni Company
included a trade-in option of $18,900.00. Staff feels they can do better by trying to sell it
themselves. If they can't sell it, then they will trade it in to the Zamboni Company for the
$18,900.00.
Mayor Hurley stated that at Monday's council meeting, he will be asking for comments from
staff and council members on the vacation of Heath Street for the Allen Hospital project.
Councilperson Welper noted that Karen Atwood sprained her wrist at an event at the YWCA last
evening.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Cole that the
meeting be adjourned at 8:12 a.m. Ayes: Six. Absent: Greenwood. Motion carried.
