Members absent: Kincaid, Cole. Moved by Schmitt, seconded by Welper that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Ayes: Five. Absent: Kincaid, Cole. Motion carried. Mayor Hurley reviewed the Standing Committee agendas scheduled for Monday, January 23, 2006. Mayor Hurley reviewed items that are on the council agenda for Monday, January 23, 2006. Items discussed included: 1. The report prepared by Earth Tech Engineering for release of four parcels of airport property from FAA to be used for commercial uses in the Mid Port Industrial Park. The Airport Board has approved the report. Don Temeyer, Community Planning & Development Director, reported the airport property is located on the west side near Leversee Road with access to Highway 218. The area is shown on the Master Plan as Industrial and Commercial uses. Most of the property was purchased in 1943. The city could use the property for a distribution center. 2. The agreement with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Section 108 loan in the amount of $8,220,000.00 and Section 108 loan for Brownfields streets in the amount of $2,075,000.00. For every $4.11 loan, the city receives $1.00 grant. Mayor Hurley informed the council that a special session may be scheduled for January 30, 2006 as well as an executive session to discussion the budget and health insurance. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Schmitt, seconded by Welper that the meeting be adjourned at 8:24 a.m. Ayes: Five. Absent: Kincaid, Cole. Motion carried.
