Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt reviewed items on the council agenda for Monday, February 6, 2006.
Items discussed included:
1. Hearing on the purchase of seven outdoor warning systems. The warning systems are
replacements. No new locations.
2. Lease agreement with Lee Rottinghaus to lease approximately 11.01 acres of property
generally located along Bishop Avenue for $990.00 per year for farming purposes.
Productivity, size and location of the property are factors used to determine the lease
price. This is a small piece which will reduce the yield.
3. Awarding of contract to Flynn Company Inc. in the amount of $2,941,433.77 for the
F.Y.2006 U.S. 20/Ansborough Avenue Interchange Project, Contract No. 667.
Contractor should start in late April with the project to be completed within 100
working days.
4. Minor site plan amendment requests from Fairbanks Builders and Advanced Building
for property located in Crossroads Estates Replat No. 2. The amendments include
changing the street layouts and changing number of units.
5. Vacation, sale and conveyance of a portion of Gayle Street located between Joy Drive
and Rainbow Drive to Whitaker Foods for $5,000.00. The land survey and legal
description are completed. This will give Whitaker Foods better access to their
building.
6. Agreement with Howard R. Green Consulting at a cost of $12,200.00 to perform a
Limited Phase II Environmental Assessment for property located at 93-97 Vinton
Street. This former Rath property located south of the Crystal Distribution Services
storage building. We need to make sure there are no contaminates on the property.
With no further business before the council, it was moved by Getty, seconded by Cole that the
meeting be adjourned at 8:12 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried.
