Greenwood now present at 8:01 a.m. Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt reviewed the Standing Committee agendas for meetings scheduled for Monday, March 13, 2006. Kincaid now present at 8:02 a.m. Mayor Pro Tem Schmitt reviewed items on the council agenda for Monday, March 13, 2006 and the following items were discussed: 1. The request of Jerry Quint and Stacey Folkers to rezone from Agricultural District to Residential District property located at 5640 Kimball Avenue for the purpose of residential development. The developer is proposing either splitting the property into three lots or splitting the property into six different lots ranging from .6 acres to 2.6 acres. The lots would be served by all the necessary utilities, including sanitary sewer and water services. 2. Amending the Zoning Ordinance to eliminate the 2-acre minimum tract size for "C- P" Planned Commercial District requests that are within the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Area (CURA) or Enterprise Zone. Don Temeyer, Community Planning & Development Director, explained the C-P zoning allows more input from neighbors and better control by the council. Mr. Temeyer commented that in the older neighborhoods it is hard to find two acres for development. This will help David Deeds with his riverfront housing project. 3. Accepting Quit Claim Deeds from Isaiah LaBeaux II for acquisition of 205 Independence Avenue and Mary and James Wilder for 502 Mobile Street.. Mr. Temeyer explained once we acquire the property then the city will proceed with obtaining clear title so the property can be demolished and prepared for development. Paul Huting, Leisure Services Director, announced that the municipal golf courses will be opening on Friday, March 10, 2006. With no further business before the council, it was moved by Gunderson, seconded by Welper that the meeting be adjourned at 8:11 a.m. Ayes: Seven. Motion carried. Nancy Eckert City Clerk
